Description
- Turkish tea is traditionally prepared in a two-piece teapot that consists of a larger and a smaller pot.
- The smaller teapot is then placed on top of the larger one.
- The top pot holds loose tea and a little bit of water.
- The rest of the water is poured into the bottom pot.
- The tea is then left to steep for a long time (+/- 20 minutes) after which the boiled water from the lower pot is poured into the upper pot. Then the tea is poured from this top (smaller) pot.
